SUMMARY REMARKS & TESTBEDS

FIONA is a platform for developing AI based solutions by composing existing 3rd party AI modules. FIONA has been built 7 years ago and it is time to update its architecture towards a modern microservice architecture. In this experiment, we propose to test the feasibility of dockerizing FIONA components. Using a Fed4FIRE+ testbed, in this case Grid5000, we intend to set up a cluster where to deploy a containerized version of the platform and validate its functionality, performance and possible bottlenecks. As a result of this experiment, we expect to obtain the main guidelines and knowledge to update FIONA’s underlying architecture.
