The 9th Fed4FIRE+ Competitive Call – Innovative Experiments | Category “Medium Experiments” closed on September 7th, 2021.
This call aim was to make Fed4FIRE+’s federated infrastructure directly available for execution of innovative experiments by experimenters at both industrial (including SMEs) and research organisations. Examples of such experiments may include but are not limited to testing of new protocols or algorithms, performance measurements or scalability testing.
We received 34 proposals submitted by industrial, including SMEs and research organisations. The evaluation and selection have been completed and 4 proposals have been selected for funding.

- MeshDapp “Blockchain-enabled Payment System for Wireless Mesh Networks” proposed by Max van der Stoel Institute, South EastEuropean University (North Macedonia)
- REWIRE “Experimenting with SDN-based Adaptable Non-IP Protocol Stacks in Smart-City Environments” proposed by Athena Research and Innovation Center in Information, Communication and Knowledge Technologies (Greece)
- COGNIWARE “Cognition-driven Maintenance supported by Computing Continuumin Industry 4.0: Cognition 4.0” proposed by Nissatech Innovation Centre (Serbia)
