SUMMARY REMARKS & TESTBEDS
Robotics-as-a-service (RaaS) platforms can transform industrial autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) into performant and scalable solutions. In stage 1, we implemented a basic RaaS architecture and tested it on our AMR communicating with the VirtualWall in IMEC’s Industrial IoT testbed.
We identified that finding the overall system quality-of-Service (sQOS) for a RaaS involves managing many ROS2 QoS settings and network conditions. In Stage 2 we developed an automated measurement tool, the sQOS which deploys a distributed AMR fleet simulation with various network conditions emulated in software, on one or more federated Fed4Fire cloud testbeds.
