STAGE 1
The D2D4P proposal addresses the direct device-to-device communication (D2D) over unlicensed radio. It aims to develop, test and validate a proof-of-concept solution for three distinct use cases of proximity services provisioning. For this, it will facilitate the multi-technology real-life outdoor testbed LOG-a-TEC, provided by Jozef Stefan Institute. The objectives of the experiment are to deploy on testbed a D2D protocol stack enabling direct one-to-one and one-to many communication, experiment with different setups and technologies, evaluate the fulfilment of three distinct use cases, disseminate reference implementations to open source community, and exploit results in emerging Internet of Things (IoT) products.
