SUMMARY REMARKS & TESTBEDS
STAGE 1
In the past few years, technology has been moving forward very rapidly and the digital era together with ICT tools has reached many different industries such as manufacturing, automotive, food production and agriculture. Fast growing technology was also one of the main reasons for Telesis to develop new tools and services and expand its fields of work. One of our main products is cloud-based tool for smart farm management, called Farm Manager, that enables creation of farm calculations, planning of food production, statistical information related to the farm and consulting about the planning of farm and optimization of the costs.At this moment, Farm Manager does not allow any information exchange with the actual farms, which could help with more accurate predictions and calculations. Therefore, goal of this experiment in Stage 1 is to ensure technical conditions for integration of sensory data and to execute live test runs of data exchange between the IoT sensors from Fed4Fire+ facilities and Farm Manager. Goals of the experiment in the Stage 2are to scale-up the data exchange, to analyze collected data to generate useful information that could help recuding the farm costs and to measure performance and scalability of the platform.

Fast growing technology was also one of the main reasons for Telesis to develop new tools and services and expand its fields of work.One of our main products is cloud-based tool for smart farm management, called Farm Manager, that enables creation of farm calculations, planning of food production, statistical information related to the farm and consulting about planning of the farm and optimization of the costs.Product was developed in cooperation with experts from agriculture sector, and combining their knowledge with ours in ICT and business development, Farm Manager was launched in 2015 with the goal of stepping into the smart agriculture industry.At this moment, Farm Manager does not allow any information exchange with the actual farms, which could bring even more added value through more accurate predictions and calculations. In the stage 1 of the experiment, we ensured technical conditions for the integration of sensory data and executed short –4 days live run of data exchange. Stage 2 is about scaling-up the experiment and data exchange, analyze collected data and measuring the performance and scalability of our cloud-based setup, to see how it reacts when being under stress. Concept of integration of sensory data will be used and transferred to other industry segments as well, with Farm Manager as a center for any data exchange between the sensors and third party systems/sensors (satellite, weather, irrigation, …) with end users and other relevant systems.
